Today we are riding in a group of 4, in what cyclists refer to as a Paceline.
In a Paceline, everyone lines up behind a single rider, who drives the speed. The riders then rotate through the line when the front rider pulls off to the side and drifts to the back of the line. The next rider then surges to take up the pace on the front. Riders stay on the front for short intervals to best share the workload amongst the group.
Our Paceline will last 32 minutes.
We will evenly share the work between the 4 riders, which means we spend 25% of our ride at each intensity.
Easy, Moderate, Hard, Very Hard.
We will start with two 8 minute rounds which is 2 minute intervals at each intensity.
Then two 4 minute rounds, which is 1 minute each intensity.
We will finish with four 2 minute rounds, or 30 seconds at each intensity.
Do your job!
Enjoy.
